Electrofusion Welding
We offer a highly professional service for the Electro Fusion Welding of Water and Waste Water Piping. Our highly skilled PE welding engineers are fully trained to to the highest standards set by Irish Water and are Certified to IS EN 13067: 2020. We are equipped with all of the correct tooling needing such as Irish Water approved EF Welding machines, Pipe alignment clamps, Rotary hand scrapers, Re-Rounding clamps ect. to suit all pipe and fittings from 16mm up 630mm. We treat the welding of pipe like a surgical procedure, great care and attention is applied to every joint that is to be welded.
Electrofusion welding is another technique used for joining thermoplastic pipes, similar to butt fusion welding. However, unlike butt fusion welding, which involves heating the entire pipe ends and then bringing them together, electrofusion welding uses electrical resistance to heat a specifically designed fitting, causing it to melt and fuse with the pipe. Electrofusion welding is commonly used for joining pipes in applications such as water and gas distribution, as well as in industrial settings. It offers advantages such as precise control over the welding process, the ability to weld in tight spaces, and the capability to monitor and record the welding parameters for quality assurance. This method is particularly suitable for joining polyethylene (PE) pipes, and it is known for producing reliable, leak-free joints with excellent strength.
